The charts below were created for members by USA Swimming using data from SWIMS. Because the data is the same, users can use either a pie chart or a bar chart, depending on their preferred visual style.

The quickest time standard for each swimmer in every event is used to determine their time standard ranking. For instance, swimmer Mary would be classified as an AA swimmer if she had one AA time standard and the others were B time requirements. One swim in each standard before a swimmer's highest-achieving standard will also be counted toward their best race. For instance, Mary will place one swim in the AA, A, BB, B, and Slower than B time standard brackets if she has an AA time standard.

Advice on how to use the charts:

  1. Your filter values will determine how the charts alter. You can choose more than one filter value by holding down the "Ctrl" key while clicking. For instance, the 11–12 and 13–14 age groups.
  2. You may view raw figures and more information about the selection by hovering over any bar or pie chart slice.
To get various results, try mixing different filter settings. For instance, 11-12 M and 13-14 F.
  3. Have you seen the bar chart's typical line for percentages? It displays the proportion of swimmers that met a given time benchmark.
  4. Events that are slower than the highest obtained norm are not included in the standard line percentages, in contrast to the bar and pie charts. For instance, Swimmer David only received the percentage over AA because he met the AA criteria. The percentages for A, BB, B, and Slower than B do not include David.
